What is in the bottle

One active ingredient at the strength and count printed on the label, sourced against USP specifications. The bottle arrives factory-sealed with its lot code and expiry date on the label, and we do not ship stock within twelve months of expiry.

Storage & handling

Keep bottles sealed, dry and out of direct sunlight at room temperature, and out of reach of children and pets. Dispose of expired product through a pharmacy take-back programme rather than down the drain.

Oxytetracycline Fish Antibiotic Powder – Treats 200 Gallons is a broad-spectrum tetracycline-class aquarium antibiotic powder for ornamental fish affected by susceptible gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. This professional-strength aquarium medication is packaged to treat up to 200 gallons when used according to the labeled dosage.

Professional Aquarium Medication for Ornamental Fish

Developed for responsible aquarium care, this concentrated formula gives fish keepers a concentrated treatment option for use in freshwater aquariums, saltwater systems where permitted by the label, quarantine tanks, hospital tanks, and ornamental pond setups. The powder format supports accurate measuring and controlled treatment without unnecessary fillers.

Key Benefits

  • Supports treatment of raised scales, swollen belly, swim bladder inflammation, bloody fins or scales, and bacterial infections.
  • Relevant for conditions associated with Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, and myxobacterial organisms.
  • Can be used in aquarium water or incorporated into feed according to the product label.

Directions and Dosage

  1. Condition aquarium water before treatment.
  2. Use 1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons every 24 hours, with a 25% water change before each treatment.
  3. For feed use, the source label states 2 teaspoons or 1.2 grams per pound of food for 14–21 days.
  4. Calcium and magnesium can bind oxytetracycline and reduce its activity; water hardness must be considered.
  5. When pH is 8.0 or higher or the water is hard, the product label suggests administering the medication in food.

Important Treatment Guidance

Use a hospital tank whenever possible and monitor ammonia, nitrite, pH, and hardness throughout treatment.

  • Test water quality before and during treatment, including ammonia and nitrite.

  • Remove or pause chemical filtration and other equipment only when the product directions require it.
  • Observe fish closely and discontinue use if unexpected stress or adverse reactions occur.
